From an eponymously named South Street retail shop, we have expanded into a multi-faceted international business: retailer, international trade partner, distiller, and of course, single malt maturation experts.
Established as a grocery business in 1895 by James Gordon and John Alexander MacPhail used their ‘centrical and commodious premises' to showcase local produce and curate exotic commodities from around the world.

Our gin
In 2018, the company opened the doors to Red Door Gin, named after the distinctive red doors at Benromach Distillery.
