Connoisseurs Choice 1987
Created in 1968 by whisky visionary, George Urquhart, over the years this range has featured single malts from almost 100 Scottish distilleries. Comprising more than 2,000 individual bottlings, each Connoisseurs Choice tells its life story through its label: cask type, bottling date, strength, vintage and tasting note.
Freshly brewed crème coffee accompanies sweet hazelnut biscotti. Hints of granola with dried red apple and flaked almonds then give way to cereal undertones. A delicate floral top note remains throughout.
Flavours of crystallised ginger biscuits pair with stewed apple and sweet dulce de leche. Delicate and warming aromatic spice transforms into slightly drying ripe gooseberries.
Oily with subtle oak tones and slightly drying edge.
